Clarisa Albrecht

Clarisa joined Kindness Animal Hospital in June 2017 as a Veterinary Technician shortly after earning her degree in veterinary technology. Initially aspiring to be a veterinarian, Clarisa discovered her true interest lay in the hands-on work performed by veterinary technicians during a high school job shadowing experience. Her day-to-day includes assisting with surgeries, dentistry, appointments, and procedures such as IV catheter placement and x-rays. She’s especially skilled in surgical support, particularly with TPLO procedures. Clarisa finds fulfillment in helping animals recover, especially those with poor initial prognoses.

Outside of work, she enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, softball, and embroidery. She has a black lab named Birdie, a former rescue from the clinic who shares her love for outdoor adventures. A few fun facts: Clarisa embroiders towels and baby blankets and once went on a family hunting trip in Colorado. Her favorite food is pork chops, and she can’t stand raisins. She describes Kindness Animal Hospital as a place filled with laughter and camaraderie, making it a rewarding and supportive place to work.
